TUTORS

Mona Lehtinen

Hello!

I'm Mona and I'm starting my second year of Political Science and Sociology in the autumn. It's great to be one of your tutors too!

Before I came to Rovaniemi was very nervous , but I don't regret my decision to come here. The best thing about studying at the University of Lapland is the sense of community and fellow students. We also have a really good atmosphere in the student union! My freshman year was very memorable. It included a lot of interesting studies, meeting new people, fun events and lots of other new things. Above all, lots of memories to remember for the rest of your life! The coming year is sure to bring you many new and exciting things.

I encourage you new freshmen to make the most of your freshman year and make it a memorable one! As a tutor, I will try to help you as much as I can. Focus on your studies, but also remember to take time off and do things you like. You can always contact me if you have any questions or concerns. You can also find me and chat. Have a wonderful summer and see you in the autumn! :)

Eveliina Sinervo

Helou!

I'm Eveliina, a second year student from Kerava (aka the south of Finland), and I'm one of your future tutors. Congratulations to all of you who came here to study political science and sociology!

Rovaniemi is the sweetest little town in the world and Kosmos Buran is a very warm and friendly student organisation. I can promise you that you will have a great time here, I have had a great time here. I was like a deer in headlights during the first few weeks, which is why I want to be an easy approachable guy for you as a tutor, who can be asked about anything that confuses you or makes you wonder, just like my own tutors were. Now I have a year of pretty nice balancing between really interesting studies, hiking in Rollo's beautiful nature and cool student events. See you in the autumn, welcome! <3

Enna Harinen

Hello!

I'm Enna and I'm a 22-year-old second year student of political science and sociology. I am originally from Joensuu, but Rovaniemi has started to feel like home over the past year. The nature is beautiful no matter what the season and the people are lovely. I hope that you will adapt to this city and the University of Lapland just as well in the next year.

My freshman year was a great one and full of memorable moments. Meeting new people and starting my studies was a little nervous at first, but with some fun events and new friends, the excitement was forgotten. I look forward to working with the other tutors to give you a super awesome freshers' year! I encourage all future freshers to enjoy and make the most of every moment, as the coming months will be full of unique experiences!

Rasmus Tavaila

Hello!

Congratulations on your studies, and great that you have chosen to come to Rovaniemi. Even if the city is unfamiliar and you are nervous, I wouldn't worry. As a smaller city, Rollo offers a close-knit community where it's easy to get to know school, university life and leisure. This sense of community is, in my opinion, one of the best things about Rovaniemi and the University of Lapland! Personally, I moved to Rollo from Helsinki and my working life, and I can say that the decision to go back to school and to the unknown was an excellent one. In addition to my duties as a tutor, I was also the sports manager of our subject association. If you have any questions or need advice, whether it's about studying, the city, moving or anything else, you can always call or send a message!

Moi!

I'm Saku and I'm a student starting my second year in the autumn, enjoying life, and of course a future tutor! I'm also a student brought by train, but during my first year of studies I've settled in Rollo really well.

I hope to see you in the autumn, before then good luck in your study hunt!
